A little about myself

I have been drawing ever since I can remember. I started out drawing Looney Tunes characters and branched out from there. My parents always encouraged my creativity and allowed me to paint murals on my bedroom walls at a young age.

By high school, I was thinking about how I could make a career as an artist and even went to a couple semesters of an art college after I graduated high school. However, after starting to have kids at a young age my priorities shifted to raising my family and my artwork took a back seat for a season.

Now that all my kids are adults, I decided to jump back into the art world and started to draw and paint again. I started by posting my artwork on my Facebook page "Jon Darling Art" and the response was so encouraging. I have done commissions of weddings, pets, engagements photos, horses, and landscapes. And I love it! I am in my 40's now and I would love to see myself transition into a full time art career, so feel free to get ahold of me for commissions or to purchase any of my available pieces.
